Jeremiah prophesied the conversions of nations and idol worshipers to the LORD (YHWH) in bold and spectacular ways:
“O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say: “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things (idols) in which there is no profit.”
String sprouts
Music Ministry will be one of the tools that we use to reach children in developing countries.
String Sprouts offers Pre- K through 12 children an opportunity to learn a musical instrument and to build relationships with their parents and learn about Jesus using a discipleship curriculum. Currently in Panama in partnership with JLM Christian Foundation and JLM Christian Academy (JLM - Jesus Loves Me), String Sprouts was launched in Santa Clara in the Coclé Province of Panama.
String Sprouts was developed by former Choral/Orchestra Director and BIOLA professor, Ruth Meints, who is currently the Executive Director at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. String Sprouts will be offered to children in the mountainous region of Coclé, Panama. Instructions will be provided in Spanish and English at JLM Christian Academy. A quick historical trend and benefit of pre-school children (age 4-6) who have been through the String Sprouts program include:
- Improve vocabulary, math and language skills
- Build the relationships of children with their parents
- Grow parenting skills and heart for beautiful music
- Most importantly, share the Love of Christ through creative discipleship program.
We have a unique opportunity, empowered by the love of our Savior, to launch this discipleship program at JLM Christian Academy and Coclé region to bring compassion, peace, and introduce the Savior to those who have not heard the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
